A colorful, festive, and intoxicating concert program inspired by the beauty of Venice and its iconic drink, the “Venetian spritz,” featuring masterworks of the Baroque period by Monteverdi, Vivaldi, Gabrieli, and Schütz.

*A spritz is an Italian wine-based cocktail, commonly served as an apéritif across Italy. It consists of Prosecco, digestive bitters and soda water. The original spritz veneziano uses Select as bitters and was created in Venice in 1920.
Cocktail recipe:
- 1/3 sparkling white wine (usually Prosecco)
- 1/3 bitters (Select, Aperol or Campari)
- 1/3 sparkling or soda water
*A concert is a live music performance in front of an audience. In this case, it consists of two performances, a festival of magnificent voices, strings, brass, and organ, under co-direction of John Cantrell and Dr. Evelyn DeGraf.
